Called here for 2nd opinion for a sick cat, and they were able to see me same day! Dr Barker (yes, her real name) listened to me and my cat, and she is currently doing much better. Received not only 1, but 2, follow up phone calls on her progress. Just found my new vet home for all my pets.
The care-- and the energy-- is different since they renovated. It's less transparent and personable, less easy to chat with a vet. My dog nearly died while under anesthesia for teeth cleaning, and I was confused by the response, though the manager did spend some time explaining what occurred. I miss the old FHAM, and am considering switching.
The worst place to take you pets. They had a outbreak of kennel cough this past year. If you love your pets go somewhere else.
Dr Barker is competent and emotionally intelligent. We trust her completely. She is calm under the most stressful circumstances. She is a great surgeon.
I have been taking our family pets, large and small, to FHAH for 26 years. They are fabulous! All the docs are wonderful and treat my animals with love. I highly recommend this Veterinarian to all.
