DO NOT MOVE HERE AT ALL I HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE SINCE I WAS 7 YEARS OLD AND NOW BECAUSE I HAVE REACHED ADULT AGE THEY WANT MORE MONEY TO LIST ME AS AN OCCUPANT AND IM ALREADY LISTED IS THAT CRAZY OR WHAT? NOT ONLY THAT THE CRIME IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE MY MOM GOT HELD UP AT GUN POINT MY CAR HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO AND VANDALIZED PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TIED UP IN THERE HOME AND IT IS CONSTANT THEFT AND WHEN YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR ITS NO SUPERVISOR AROUND TO HELP TERRIBLE SERVICE
Poor customer service
This is a trailer community, which appears to be efficiently run. One of the residents complained during the tour of constantly increasing rents, which she said are currently about $800 per month. The many small playgrounds are only indifferently maintained, but they are not trashed and the kids use them. There is only one official route in and out, which is the only route for vehicles and drops you directly onto Route 1. There are at least five informal entries for people on foot and perhaps on bicycles, leading to Mt. Vernon Plaza Shopping Center, Costco and Walmart, and a small strip mall with five or six businesses. It would be possible to live in this development without a car, as many services are within a quarter mile of its center and a Route One bus stop served by all passing lines is just in front. Many of the mobile homes are very nicely kept up, but perhaps 10% are looking tired. I would opine that this 10% averages more paid yearly in rent than the current value of the home itself. The current resident complained about Hybla Valley Elementary School, saying that it was overcrowded, and that the excellent and dedicated teachers struggled to provide education as a result. There are about 700 homes in the development, and about 1,400 children. The resident opined that it was the best of the several mobile home parks on this stretch of Route One.
