This 1.5 mile flat out and back trail has gorgeous views of the Potomac River, and a variety of plants and animals for the budding ecologist. The trail is completely flat, perfect for beginners and rugged strollers. There's even a tiny beach where kids can get their toes wet and play in some muddy sand during low tide.
Quite a lovely bike ride or hike across wooden bridges over the marsh. Beautiful plants and happy birds on a sunny day!
There is no Nature Center, however; no bathrooms, no playground, no water fountain. Just ample parking and a lovely, easy hike that will take you through Potomac marshland and back!
About a mile hike to the boardwalk but very easy..
This is a great place to take a walk, shoot some photos, and mingle with nature. This is a marshland with a gravel/dirt path that is well-maintained. It is right next to Belle Haven Park and the marina, and easy to access and find parking.
